You Weren't Meant to Just Survive This Life

You feel it, don’t you?

The low hum of exhaustion that settles in by Wednesday. The goals you swore you’d hit, slipping again. The sense that something is off, even when your life looks fine on paper.

You were made for more than this.

Everyone senses it eventually. The quiet conviction that the life you are living is smaller than the one you were built for. That real thriving is possible, but you are not yet living it.

So why does it feel so hard to get there, no matter how hard you work?

The Framework That Trained a Million People

For decades, I led personal and leadership development for the largest healthcare company in the world, training more than one million people across industries and continents. I earned certifications in over two hundred human development disciplines and taught hundreds of courses along the way. I also served as CEO of a biotechnology company. Along the way, I watched high-capacity people burn out in slow motion. I also watched others build lives that didn’t break.

The difference was not talent. It was not even effort.

It was architecture.

For over twenty years, I studied what actually separates people who thrive from people who barely hold on. I assessed the psychometric profiles. I mapped the behavioral characteristics. I looked for what the thrivers shared, across industries and personalities and seasons of life. Four patterns kept surfacing.

PACE is the framework I built around those findings. Purpose. Attitude. Connection. Energy. I refined it in boardrooms and training rooms before I ever taught it anywhere else. It works because it is grounded in evidence and tested in some of the most demanding environments on earth.

Designed to Thrive takes what I have spent a career teaching and puts it in your hands.

The curriculum draws directly from my books The Power to Thrive and The 22 Most Important Things, distilling both into a structured, practical program you can work through at your own pace.

Purpose. Attitude. Connection. Energy.

Each pillar is grounded in research and time-tested wisdom. Each one is practical. Each one addresses a specific place where most people are leaking strength without knowing it.

This is not motivational content. It is not hustle culture dressed up as self-help. It is the real architecture of a thriving life, taught by someone who has spent a career helping people build it.

The PACE Framework

P — Purpose. Why you are here. What you were made for. How to gain clarity on the direction of your life, and how to stop chasing goals that were never truly yours.

A — Attitude. The inner posture that shapes everything else. How to rebuild your mindset, break agreement with defeat, and live from strength instead of toward it.

C — Connection. Deep connection with yourself first. Then with the people who matter most in your life. How to repair what is broken and build what is missing.

E — Energy. Stewardship of your body, your rest, and your inner vitality. You cannot pour from an empty vessel. Nothing worth building asks you to.

Inside these pillars, you will learn three sub-frameworks I have refined over years of teaching:

GROW, LEARN, and FREE. Together they form the practical engine of change.

What’s Inside

Module 1 — Purpose:

Discovering What You Were Made For

The difference between a calling and a career. How to identify what you are actually here to do. Why so many people miss it, and how to find it again.

Module 2 — Attitude:

The Mind That Thrives

Breaking the thought patterns that keep you stuck. Practical tools for rebuilding your mindset daily. How the GROW framework turns adversity into durable strength.

Module 3 — Connection:

Relationships That Sustain You

Deepening the relationships that matter most, starting with the one you have with yourself. Repairing what is broken without losing who you are. The LEARN framework for communicating in a way that heals.

Module 4 — Energy:

Stewarding Your Strength

The hidden roots of chronic fatigue. Reclaiming rest as a practice, not a reward. The FREE framework for sustainable flourishing in body, mind, and spirit.

Plus a full student workbook, guided reflection prompts, and assessments to help you apply what you are learning in real time.

Who I Am

I’m Randy Kay. For over twenty years, I directed personal and leadership development inside the largest healthcare company in the world, training more than a million people across industries and continents. During that time I studied the psychometric profiles and behavioral characteristics of people who genuinely thrive in life. PACE is the framework that emerged from that work. I have also served as a Fortune 100 executive and as CEO of a biotechnology company.

Outside the corporate world, I am an author and speaker. I hold a business degree from Northwestern University. I am the author of The Power to Thrive and The 22 Most Important Things, both of which form the foundation of this course, along with other books available on Amazon. I am a person of faith, and I come to this work with that perspective, but the framework I teach is built on research and applies to anyone willing to do the work. You do not need to share my beliefs to benefit from it.

Everything I teach in Designed to Thrive has been tested against real lives in real workplaces and refined across a career. It works in boardrooms. It works in living rooms. It will work for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this course based on research or personal opinion?

Both Scripture and research. Over more than twenty years, I assessed the psychometric profiles and behavioral characteristics of people who thrive across industries, roles, and seasons of life. PACE names the four patterns that consistently showed up in those who flourished. The framework is built on that data and grounded in the Word of God.

How long does it take to complete the course?

Most students finish in four to six weeks at a comfortable pace. You can move faster or slower. You have lifetime access, so the course is there when you need it.

Do I need to read The Power to Thrive or The 22 Most Important Things first?

No. The course stands alone and distills the core frameworks from both books. If you want to go deeper after completing the course, both The Power to Thrive and The 22 Most Important Things are available on Amazon.

Do I need to hold a particular faith to take this course?

No. The course is built on more than twenty years of research and applies to anyone committed to thriving. I am a person of faith, and that perspective shapes how I teach, but you do not need to share my beliefs to benefit. The framework works for anyone willing to apply it.

Will you be teaching the material personally?

Yes. I teach every video lesson myself.

What if I get stuck partway through?

You will have access to guided reflection prompts and community features throughout the course. You are not walking this alone.

One Last Thing

Over a career of teaching, I have watched the same pattern play out.

People who apply these principles do not just feel better. They become different. Their purpose sharpens. Their minds clear. Their relationships heal. Their energy returns.

This is not theory. This is what happens when evidence meets structure and structure meets action.

You were designed to thrive. Not someday. Now.

It is time to walk in it.
